Hello everyone,

According to the poll I sent out people were most interested in Trivia or a potluck event for our next outings. I think we can do both but thought we should start with a public event like Trivia since we hadn't had a chance to meet everyone yet.

As you may know, Trivia nights are typically held early in the week when bars are not as busy. There are a few good ones in the area, but I've been to this one and it seems like fun. I believe they have Trivia at 7 and 9pm. We can start at 7pm and if people want to stay for the later round, that's great as well. Otherwise, we could always try another bar later in the evening if people are up for it. Plan to get there 30 minutes before it starts if you could. That way we can all get a spot. Not sure how busy it will be in the summer, but it has been very busy the other times I have gone.

If timing is better to do the later session, we can do that as well. Just let me know what you think. I hear they also have a good one at Tir Na Nog but I haven't been so let me know if you have. We can easily switch it over there if people wish.

Flying saucer has a good location in Raleigh and is a fun bar with several dozen beers on tap. They have a large outdoor patio as well, so hopefully the weather will be good. There is decent bar food and is pretty reasonably priced so hopefully it works for everyone.

Please let me know if you are planning to come. Not sure if it's the kind of place where I can try to save some space but it will be a lot easier if I know how many can make it.

Looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible. The weather is getting really nice, why not come join people for some drinks and flex your brain muscles a bit?

Joe

The Flying Saucer is my fav bar, course I'm a beer snob so that is probably why. I can't wait, I'm going to try my best to make it.

And parking is $3 last time we went, unless you can find a space on the street. Have to insert individual $1 bills in slot in the parking lot. Bring $1s.

You have to get there early to get a good table inside. Unfortunately you cannot play trivia outside on the patio. Tables seat about 6 I think. Its a pretty smoky place, but they have about 200 beers to choose from!

I thought it was fun. Then again, I like trivia, beer and all the things that come with it. Always hoping we get a bigger group next time...
