Time for Tonga!!!!! This month is an extended Happy Hour, as the Tonga Room has specials from 5-7. Hopefully some of you can come early, and we will see if we can last till 8 or 9! Come in your finest Tiki attire - this could be a fun one. A real SF tradition.

Tonga's Award Winning Happy Hour Tonga Room
Monday to Friday: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Happy Hour includes an extensive buffet of Pacific Rim delicacies with items such as mini spring rolls with plum sauce, chicken wontons with chili sauce, vegetable chow mein, Kalua pork and cabbage, assorted cheese and crackers, sliced melons and tree ripened fruit, pineapple bowl and honey coconut dipping sauce, Szechwan guacamole dip with prawn crackers. The all-you-can-eat buffet is a 'steal' at only $9.50 per person with a one drink minimum. To complement this feast fit for kings and queens, the tropical restaurant and bar serves tantalizing cocktails at Happy Hour prices.

As you marvel at the exciting decor, be sure to hold on to your drink during the surprise thunder and lightning.

    It's my Dad's birthday, so I had to change my RSVP to "no". There is a definite connection between childfree and Tiki, many academic studies have proven that fact. The $9.50 buffet could be $29.50- it's irrelevant since none of us needs to save for our kids' college educations! ;-) Please try and have more events in the earlier part of the evening...I absolutely love Happy Hour!!! Have fun everyone.

    Yes, that is most definitely a record! I hope everyone shows up, but I imagine they'll be spread out between 5:30 and 8ish. As far as Tiki-culture, well, it's cool, and so are we!
